Alain Policar holds an agrégation in social sciences and a doctorate in political science from Sciences Po Paris. After sixteen years of high school teaching, he taught at the Faculty of Law and Economics of the University of Limoges from 1988 to 2014. He has been a research associate at Cevipof since 2008. He is a regular contributor to the press (author of numerous articles, notably in Libération and Le Monde). He also writes for AOC, En attendant Nadeau, Laviedesidees.fr, Nonfiction.fr, Telos and The Conversation, and is a member of the editorial board of Raison présente. And an adviser to the management of the Revue du Mauss.
His research now focuses on political theory and political philosophy, fields in which he recently published several books.
