Arnault Skornicki is a lecturer in political science at Paris Ouest Nanterre and a researcher at l’ISP. His research focuses on the sociogenesis of liberalism and its critics, and on the formation of the language of the fatherland in 18th-19th-century France and beyond. He is also interested in methodology in the history of political ideas. He is currently working on a book on Michel Foucault and the State. Published work: L’économiste, la cour et la patrie. L’économie politique dans la France des Lumières (CNRS Éditions, 2011).
