Nathalie Roseau



Nathalie Roseau, a graduate of the École Polytechnique and a qualified architect (DPLG), has a doctorate in urban planning. She is an Associate Professor (Maître de conferences) at the École des Ponts ParisTech in Paris, where she is Director of the Master in Planning and Urban Project Management. She is a member of the Technology, Territory and Society Research Unit, Université Paris-Est, and a visiting professor at the Polytechnic University of Milan (Politecnico di Milano). Her numerous research publications concern the dynamics of transformation in large cities and the process of urban change. She attaches particular importance to the role of beliefs in the construction of urban space, as well as to the architectural and urban dimensions of infrastructures. Her doctoral thesis, defended in 2008, is on the urban history of airports, and her book on this subject is soon to be published by Éditions Parenthèses.
