Olivier Pliez

Olivier Pliez is a CNRS research director at LISST (Interdisciplinary Laboratory of Solidarity, Societies, Territories, Toulouse-Jean Jaurès University). His work focuses on urban territories and territorialities related to mobility in the Sahara and the Arab world. He recently published, with Armelle Choplin, “The Inconspicuous Spaces of Globalization”, Articulo - Journal of Urban Research, 2015, and, with Saïd Belguidoum, “Yiwu: The Creation of a Global Market Town in China”, Articulo - Journal of Urban Research, 2016.
