Julien Le Mauff is a historian, PhD in medieval studies, currently teaching and research assistant in political science at the University of Lille and the Ceraps (UMR 8026), and research associate at the Laboratoire d’études sur les monothéismes (UMR 8584). He focuses on the history of political systems of thought and the formation of theories of sovereignty from the 12th to the 17th century. He has published Généalogie de la raison d’État (Classiques Garnier, 2021) and L’Empire de l’urgence (PUF, 2024).
