Cécile Lavergne is a lecturer in social and political philosophy at the University of Lille, member of the UMR STL. A former student of the ENS de Lyon, agrégée and doctor of philosophy, her research, at the interface between social philosophy and the epistemology of the social sciences, focuses on the relationships between the construction of identities and the production of contemporary violence. She has notably co-edited several issues of the humanities journal Tracés (“Pragmatismes”, 2008, “Décrire la violence”, 2010, “Philosophie et sciences sociales”, 2013), as well as a collective work with A. Cukier and F. Delmotte, Emancipation, Les métamorphoses de la critique sociale (Le Croquant, 2013).
