A philosopher and law expert, Jean-Baptiste Jeangène Vilmer teaches ethics and war law at Sciences Po Paris and the Ecole spéciale militaire, Saint-Cyr. Before that, he was a researcher at Yale University and a Lecturer at King’s College London and McGill University, Montreal. He has published fifteen books, such as Ethique des relations internationales (PUF, 2013) et Pas de paix sans justice ? Le dilemme de la paix et de la justice en sortie de conflit armé (Presses de Sciences Po, 2011). In 2013, he was awarded the Académie française Maréchal Foch Prize for La Guerre au nom de l’humanité.
