Alice Béja



Alice Béja is a lecturer at Sciences Po Lille and a researcher at CERAPS-CNRS, specialising in the United States. Her work focuses on the history of the left at the turn of the century, the relationship between literature and politics, and the construction of the American national novel. A former editor-in-chief of the journal Esprit, she has published articles on American and Italian politics, feminism and literature. She is the author of Des mots pour se battre. John Dos Passos, la littérature et la politique (2015, Honoré Champion) and has translated works by Grace Lumpkin and John Dos Passos into French.
