Rémi Beau



Rémi Beau holds a PhD in philosophy from the Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University and teaches in the same university. He specializes in environmental philosophy and is particularly interested in American environmental ethics and moral perfectionism.
In 2017, he published Ethique de la nature ordinaire : Recherches philosophiques dans les champs, les friches et les jardins (Publications de la Sorbonne). In addition, he co-directed with Catherine Larrère a collective publication, entitled Penser l’Anthropocène, published in 2010 by the Presses de Science Po. He is also the author of numerous articles on environmental philosophy, including « Libérer les hommes et la nature ! Fantômes et fantasmes de l’écomodernisme », Tracés, n°33, 2017 and « From Wilderness to Ordinary Nature: A French View on an American Debate », Environmental Ethics, vol.37, n°4, 2015.
