Ernst Wolff is Professor of Philosophy at the University of Pretoria and an affiliated researcher at the Centre for the Study of Social Movements (EHESS) in Paris. He teaches political and social philosophy, drawing on contemporary European philosophy and African philosophy. Since 2005, he has worked on developing curricula that reconcile these two traditions in a way that is adapted to the South African context. His publications include: Political responsibility for a globalized world (Transcript, 2011) and De l’éthique à la justice (Springer, 2007). He edited, with O. Kozlarek and J. Rüsen, Shaping a humane world (Transcript, 2012), and published a monograph on Mongameli Mabona.
