Dr. Oumy Thiongane is a medical anthropologist at the Institut de Recherche pour le Développement in Montpellier (Infectious Diseases & Vectors: Ecology, Genetic, Evolution and Control unit) and associate researcher in the Technoscience and Regulation Research Unit (TRRU) at the university of Dalhousie, Halifax Canada. She received her PhD in 2013 from Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales (EHESS) of Paris. Oumy’s current research addresses knowledges and experiences of ebola vaccine and mobile laboratories in Global south and north America.
