Jean-Yves Potel is the author of several books on Poland and Central Europe. A doctor of political science, he has taught at the universities of Paris VIII and Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne, at the Institute of Political Studies in Paris and at the University of Warsaw. He was cultural advisor at the French Embassy in Warsaw (2001-2005); he organizes the Shoah Memorial Summer University in Poland every year.
