Clément Petitjean

Clément Petitjean works on the dynamics of professionalization of activism in the United States, in particular on community organizing practices in Chicago. A doctor of sociology from the University of Versailles Saint-Quentin, he is a lecturer in American studies at the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, attached to the Research Center of the Institute of Demography of the University of Paris 1 (Cridup). He published Occupation: Organizer in 2023 with Haymarket Books.
