HDR research fellow at the CNRS (CRH-EHESS), Mathieu Marraud is a specialist in urban societies of the Ancien Régime. He works particularly on the relationship between incorporated commerce, political city, monarchical norms and social disciplines. His work on the corporative organization of Parisian trades in the 17th-18th centuries was published in 2021(Le Pouvoir marchand. Corps et corporatisme à Paris sous l’Ancien Régime, Champ Vallon).
