Claude Markovits

Claude Markovits is Honorary Research Director at the CNRS. A historian of modern India, he has recently developed an interest in global history. His recent publications include Les Indes et l’Europe : Histoires connectés XVe-XXIe siècles (2015, Gallimard, Folio-Histoire, with Jean-Louis Margolin), De l’Indus à la Somme : les Indiens en France pendant la Grande Guerre (2018, Editions de la MSH) and India and the World : A History of Connections c. 1750-c. 2000 (2021, Cambridge University Press).
