Chowra Makaremi

Chowra Makaremi is a tenured research scholar at the National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS-IRIS). Her work focuses on the ethnography of the State, critical legal studies and visual anthropology. She has studied border confinement, the reception of asylum seekers in urban spaces, and coordinated several research collectives on border control in Europe.
