Colin Jones

Colin Jones is Professor of History at Queen Mary University of London. His most recent books are The Great Nation: France from Louis XV to Napoleon (2002) and Paris: Biography of a City (2004), both published by Penguin. Current projects include the history of the smile in eighteenth-century Paris, the history of physiognomy, and humour and caricature.
