Alexandre Giunta is an associate professor and doctor in medieval history. His research focuses on population movements in the Middle Ages. Combining the study of anthroponymy and the political uses of writing, he is interested in the construction of border societies in the Iberian Peninsula in the context of the Reconquista and in the relationships between the different communities. He is also the author of Les francos dans la vallée de l’Ebre (XIe-XIIe siècles), PUM, 2018.
