Pierre-Arnaud Chouvy

Arnaud Chouvy is a geographer and researcher at the CNRS (Prodig). His research focuses on issues relating to the illegal production of opium and cannabis, primarily in Asia. He notably published Opium. Uncovering the Politics of the Poppy (Harvard University Press, 2010) and edited An Atlas of Trafficking in Southeast Asia. The Illegal Trade in Arms, Drugs, People, Counterfeit Goods and Natural Resources in Mainland Southeast Asia, (I.B. Tauris / Irasec, 2013). His work can be viewed at www.geopium.org.
