Vincent Bourdeau

Vincent Bourdeau is a lecturer in social and political philosophy at the University of Besançon (UBFC), and a researcher attached to the Logiques de l’agir laboratory (E.A. 2274).
He works on the relationship between republicanism, socialism and the social sciences in the nineteenth century, as well as on contemporary developments in republicanism.
His works on these subjects include: Quand les socialistes inventaient l’avenir. Presse, théories et expériences (1825-1860), La Découverte, 2015 (edited with Thomas Bouchet, Edward Castleton, Ludovic Frobert and François Jarrige) and La République et ses démons.
