Alexandra Bidet is a sociology researcher at the CNRS. A former student of the ENS Cachan and holder of an agrégation in social sciences, she is a member of the Centre Maurice Halbwachs.
She is the author of L’engagement dans le travail. Qu’est-ce que le vrai boulot (PUF, 2011), coordinated the book Sociologie du travail et activité (Octarès, 2006) and contributed to Évaluer et valoriser. Une sociologie économique de la mesure (ed. F. Vatin, PUM, 2009). With L. Quéré and G. Truc, she translated and edited John Dewey’s La formation des valeurs (La Découverte, 2011); with D. Schoeni, she coordinated the edition of ethnographique.org “Analyser les présences au travail : visibilités et invisibilités”.
