Adèle Audouy is a researcher in political philosophy specializing in the political and societal dynamics of the Middle East and North Africa. A former student of the ENS de Lyon in Philosophy and History-International Relations in Lebanon, she continued her studies at HEC Paris and Sciences Po. Her career, at the crossroads of academic research and journalism, led her to work in Iraq, Lebanon and Libya.
Her research focuses in particular on the link between education and democracy in fragile environments. Her dissertation at the ENS explores the thought of John Dewey and the fundamental role of education in the formation of active democratic citizenship. She questions the adaptability of these educational principles in difficult contexts, confronting philosophical theory with realities on the ground through surveys conducted in schools and refugee camps in Lebanon and Iraq.
A committed writer, she documents resilience and social transformation initiatives in post-conflict zones, adopting an immersive approach and giving a voice to local actors.
