Jean-Pascal Anfray

Jean-Pascal Anfray (ENS PSL, République des savoirs) is a lecturer in philosophy and is qualified to direct research. His research focuses on philosophy from the fourteenth to the seventeenth century, and especially on Suárez, Descartes, and Leibniz. He is the author of Qu’est-ce que la nécessité ? (Vrin, 2009). He has also translated and commented the correspondence between Descartes and More (Étendue, corps et esprit: Le dualisme en questions, Éliott Éditions, 2023).
