Pasquale Pasquino



Pasquale Pasquino (born in Naples in 1948) is a Director of Research at the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) and Global Distinguished Professor of Politics and Law at New York University. After studying classical philology, philosophy and political science, he published research on the history of ideas about the state and constitutions. In recent years his research has focused on constitutional justice in a historical perspective. Before joining the CNRS, he worked at the Max Planck Institute in Göttingen, the Collège de France (Chair of History of Systems of Thought), and at King’s College, Cambridge.
