Florent Guénard



An Assistant Professor at the Philosophy Department of the Nantes University, Florent Guénard specializes in political and moral philosophy. He authored several studies on 18th century philosophy, among which Rousseau et le travail de la convenance (H. Champion, 2004) and co-edited La religion, la liberté, la justice, a commentary on Jean-Jacques Rousseau’s Lettres écrites de la montagne (Vrin, 2005).
His work now focuses on the question of equality and the promotion of democracy since the 1990s.
He is the editor-in-chief of La Vie des idées/Books and Ideas.
